Six people — four from Orillia — face cocaine trafficking charges: OPP

Six people are facing drug trafficking charges after search warrants were executed in Orillia on Aug. 31, said Orillia OPP. 

According to police, search warrants were executed at three different homes shortly after midnight where they allegedly seized “quantities of cocaine and Canadian currency.”

An 18-year-old from Etobicoke, 30-year-old from Orillia, 31-year-old from Orillia, and a 37-year-old from Orillia were all charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, OPP said.

Also, an 18-year-old from Scarborough and 50-year-old from Orillia are charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000. 

All parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear on Oct. 5 in Orillia court.
